Ulster Lodge No. 2972 is a London lodge with Ulster roots. You do not need to be from Ulster to become a member.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Thinking about Freemasonry?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You do not have to wait to be invited. If Freemasonry interests you, it is perfectly normal to approach a Lodge and ask to know more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ulster Lodge meets at Freemasons\u2019 Hall in Great Queen Street, London. We value friendship, ritual, history, good company and the traditions that have connected the Lodge with Ulster since 1903.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who can join?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Under the United Grand Lodge of England, membership is open to men aged 18 or over from all backgrounds. Candidates are expected to be of good character and able to affirm a belief in a Supreme Being. There is no requirement to follow a particular religion.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Do I need Ulster roots?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

No. Our Ulster identity matters to us, but membership is not restricted to men born in Ulster. We welcome men who value the character, history and fellowship of the Lodge.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

What happens if I am interested?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Start with an informal conversation. Ask whatever you want to know about the Lodge and Freemasonry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. If you remain interested, you will be asked to complete a short application and meet members of the Lodge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. The Lodge will make sure that joining is right for you and that the commitment will not be detrimental to you or your family.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. If your application is successful, arrangements will be made for your initiation at a suitable Lodge meeting.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    What does membership involve?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Ulster Lodge normally meets four times a year. Members may also attend rehearsals, social occasions, visits to other Lodges and Masonic events. There is an annual subscription and dining costs when you attend the meal after a meeting. Current costs will always be explained clearly before you make any commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Freemasonry should fit comfortably alongside family, work and other responsibilities. Nobody should put himself under financial or personal pressure to take part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
