OUR LODGE
More than a name on a summons
Ulster Lodge was founded in London by men with roots in Ulster. The idea was first discussed among members of the Ulster Association during an outing on the Thames, before becoming reality at the Hotel Cecil in 1903.
Since then, the Lodge has brought together men from many walks of life. Its story reaches from Edwardian London and two world wars to Freemasons’ Hall today. The people, friendships and traditions are what make that history worth telling.

The men who made Ulster Lodge
Dr Edward Andrew Gregg rose from Belfast schoolmaster to doctor, wartime RAMC officer, Mayor of St Pancras and Chairman of the Council of the British Medical Association. He was also a Past Master of Ulster Lodge.

The Lodge grew from the lives of Ulster people in London and became an important link between English and Irish Freemasonry.
